6th Anniversary Triple Layer Chocolate Fudge Cake ~ Pastry Stout (7% ABV / 26 IBU) – It’s our turn for a pandemic birthday, and we say “put a cake in it”! After a year that changed everything and a virus still crippling communities around the globe, we could all use an escape. You can have your cake and drink it too in this decadent, silky smooth, full-bodied brew. On the day of our sixth year of brewing, with a multi-layered gluten free chocolate cake in hand, we happily tossed it in the mash along with a full spectrum of roasted millet and rice malts and purity protocol gluten free oats. Lactose and molasses were added to the boil to bring out a baked-good like sweetness, then conditioned with liquid cacao and maple syrup oak barrel chips to bring out prominent notes of baker’s chocolate, slight nuttiness and hints of maple. With all that indulgent goodness, this pastry stout takes the cake. Make a wish!
